Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the logical next step for certified divers looking to expand their underwater horizons. This advanced certification involves five adventure dives, two of which are mandatory: Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation. The remaining three can be chosen from a variety of specialties, allowing you to tailor the course to your specific interests, whether that's wreck diving, night diving, or drift diving. The theoretical preparation is handled through PADI Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning, which you can complete at your own pace before the practical sessions begin. This blended learning approach maximizes your time in the water.

To enroll in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must be at least 15 years old and hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent qualification. A basic swimming ability and good physical health for diving are also required, and a medical statement may be necessary. Dive Center Portobelo provides all necessary equipment for the practical sessions, including air tanks and weights, along with boat transfers to the dive sites. Fresh water is available for refilling reusable bottles, promoting eco-friendly practices.
