Advanced Open Water

Build upon your Open Water Diver certification with the Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) course offered by Tauchschule Potsdam. This program is structured around five distinct dives, each designed to expand your underwater capabilities and introduce you to new diving experiences. Two core dives are mandatory: Underwater Navigation, crucial for developing self-reliance and precise orientation beneath the surface, and Deep Diving, which safely extends your exploration limits to depths beyond the standard recreational threshold. These foundational dives ensure you gain essential skills for more challenging environments.

Beyond the required modules, you have the flexibility to choose three elective dives from a diverse range of specialties. Options include Night Diving for a completely different perspective on marine life, Nitrox Diving to extend your no-decompression limits, Perfect Buoyancy to master your trim and air consumption, Search and Recovery to hone your skills in locating and retrieving objects, Underwater Photography to capture the beauty of the underwater world, Dry Suit Diving for comfort in cooler waters, or Underwater Naturalist to deepen your understanding of aquatic ecosystems. This personalized approach allows you to tailor the AOWD experience to your specific interests and future diving aspirations.

To participate in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must hold a certification as an Open Water Diver or an equivalent qualification from a recognized agency. The course fee of 279 EUR includes all five dives, the associated theoretical components, and personalized instruction from experienced PADI or SSI certified instructors. While theory materials are provided, and specialized rental equipment like dive lights or compasses may be available for specific dives, participants should be prepared for a small dive center fee of approximately 10 EUR per dive day to cover operational costs.
