Oferecido por Aquanautic Club Lanzarote
Puerto del Carmen, Las Palmas
Descrição do Curso
The I.A.C. Open Water Diver course at Aquanautic Club Lanzarote provides the foundational certification for recreational scuba diving, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge for independent diving. This program covers essential theoretical concepts, including diving equipment, physics, dive tables and computers, basic first aid, CPR, and understanding the underwater environment and its conservation, all crucial for safe diving practices. Practical training takes place in controlled pool environments and the sea, focusing on assembling equipment, ascent/descent techniques, buoyancy control, mask clearing, and regulator recovery. Aquanautic Club Lanzarote structures this course for engagement and fun, prioritizing practical application over lengthy theory, ensuring new divers gain confidence to explore safely. Upon successful completion, divers receive an I.D. card certifying them to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters. The course fee of 449 EUR includes all necessary learning materials and certification fees.
Lanzarote's waters offer a consistent diving environment, with sea temperatures averaging around 20.2°C year-round, though specific monthly averages vary slightly. For instance, while October can see temperatures around 22.5°C, January drops to approximately 19.5°C. This stable thermal range, combined with the volcanic underwater landscape, creates an appealing setting for learning to dive. The course utilizes the clear Atlantic waters surrounding the island for open water training, allowing students to immediately apply theoretical knowledge in a real diving scenario. The focus is on building comfort and competence in this specific marine environment.
Aquanautic Club Lanzarote, certified by CMAS and SSI, offers instruction in German, English, and Spanish, catering to a diverse range of international students. The center emphasizes a hands-on approach, moving away from purely academic study towards practical skill development. This methodology ensures that students not only understand the principles of diving but can also confidently execute the necessary maneuvers underwater. The goal is to foster capable and responsible divers ready to enjoy the underwater world.
This Open Water Diver certification is the essential first step for anyone wishing to pursue further diving education or simply explore the ocean's depths. It unlocks the ability to plan and execute dives with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters, opening up a vast array of dive sites worldwide. The skills acquired are directly transferable to more advanced courses, such as the Advanced Open Water Diver, and are fundamental for any future diving adventures, whether exploring shipwrecks or vibrant coral reefs.
