Descrição do Curso
The PADI Rescue Diver course at CID Lanzarote is designed to equip you with advanced skills to anticipate, prevent, and manage dive emergencies. This challenging yet highly rewarding program significantly enhances your confidence and capability as a diver. You will learn crucial techniques for self-rescue, recognizing and responding to stress in other divers, and managing various emergency scenarios. The course emphasizes problem-solving and decisive action under pressure, preparing you to assist others effectively. CID Lanzarote's experienced instructors focus on practical application, ensuring you can execute these vital skills in realistic simulated emergencies.
This course builds upon your existing diving knowledge and experience, making you a more vigilant and responsible diver. It's a critical step for anyone serious about enhancing their safety and the safety of their dive buddies. The curriculum covers emergency management, equipment use in rescue situations, and providing immediate first aid to unresponsive divers. By mastering these techniques, you'll gain a deeper understanding of dive safety and preparedness, skills that are invaluable both underwater and in everyday life.
To enroll, you must be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Additionally, current Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care training within the past 24 months is a mandatory prerequisite. The EFR course provides the foundational CPR and first aid skills necessary for the Rescue Diver program, ensuring you are prepared to handle medical emergencies.
CID Lanzarote offers this PADI-certified course, leveraging the consistent, high standards of the PADI system. The island's waters provide an excellent training ground, with average sea temperatures around 20.2°C, offering comfortable conditions for practicing rescue techniques throughout much of the year. While specific dive sites for rescue scenarios are selected based on conditions, the general marine environment around Lanzarote is known for its volcanic landscapes and diverse marine life, adding an engaging backdrop to your training.
Upon successful completion of the PADI Rescue Diver course, you will be recognized for your enhanced ability to handle dive emergencies. This certification is often considered a prerequisite for further professional development within the PADI system, such as the Divemaster course.
