SSI Try Scuba

Try Scuba at Kron Diving is a one-day introduction run in a confined water environment on the base in Kampor Bay. The SSI Try Scuba program gives first-timers a taste of breathing underwater without committing to a full certification course. The center has children's equipment on site, and the minimum age for Try Scuba is 8 years old — lower than most other programs here.

Completion earns the SSI Try Scuba recognition rating, which is a starting point rather than a standalone certification. The bay at Kampor provides a protected setting for the experience, close to the base with easy exit points. A medical certificate may be requested.

If you decide to continue after Try Scuba, the Basic Diver program allows you to experience both confined and open water environments without locking into the full Open Water Diver track. And if you complete the Basic Diver and then choose to go for the Open Water Diver within six months, the first open water dive is credited toward the required training dives — so nothing is wasted.

The instructors speak German, English, Croatian, Italian, and Spanish, which matters for younger divers who need clear communication during their first underwater experience.
