The SSI Dive Guide course is the entry point to the professional track at Diving Canarias — the first step toward Divemaster qualification. At €600 including IGIC, it positions itself as accessible relative to full Divemaster programmes while still delivering a formal professional credential.

The course qualifies you to guide certified divers through dive sites under the supervision of an instructor. In a centre operating year-round in a sheltered bay with both shore and boat dive options, there's practical variety in what you learn to manage: different entry types, different diver profiles, and the operational rhythm of a working centre.

For anyone deciding whether to commit to a full professional career in diving, the Dive Guide level is a sensible test point. You get enough real responsibility to understand what leading groups actually involves, without yet stepping into the instructor role. The centre's proximity to the water in Radazul means daily dive operations are active and there are real guided dive scenarios to train in.
