Seal Team

The PADI Seal Team program at Discovery Divers offers an exciting and structured introduction to scuba diving for children aged 8 and older. This program goes beyond a basic try-dive, focusing on developing fundamental diving skills through a series of engaging AquaMissions. Part one of the course, AquaMissions 1-5, concentrates on mastering essential techniques such as breathing underwater, regulator recovery, mask clearing, and buoyancy control in a pool environment. Upon completion of these initial missions, participants become official PADI Seal Team members.

Building on the foundational skills, the second part of the PADI Seal Team program introduces ten specialized AquaMissions. These advanced sessions explore a variety of exciting diving activities, including underwater navigation, search and recovery techniques, learning about marine life, and even simulated night dives within the controlled pool setting. Successfully completing all ten special AquaMissions earns the diver the prestigious title of PADI Master Seal Team Member, signifying a high level of proficiency and confidence in underwater exploration.

Discovery Divers, a PADI-certified center, ensures a safe and educational experience for all young participants. The program utilizes the PADI Seal Team Crew-Pak, which includes a video, activity book, and logbook to enhance the learning process and document their underwater adventures. The skills learned during the Seal Team program are directly applicable and count towards the PADI Open Water Diver certification when the child is ready to pursue it.

Participants must be at least 8 years old and comfortable in the water to join the PADI Seal Team. Parental commitment is also a requirement for enrollment. This program is designed to foster confidence, teamwork, and a deep respect for the underwater world, providing a solid foundation for a lifetime of diving enjoyment. The Dutch-speaking instructors at Discovery Divers are dedicated to making this a memorable and rewarding experience for every young diver.
