**Snorkel and Freediving Club Meets** at Mulberry Divers: Dive into Community and Practice
Mulberry Divers invites certified snorkellers and freedivers to their regular **Snorkel and Freediving Club Meets**. These sessions are designed for individuals of all ages who hold certifications and are looking for a social and engaging way to pursue their passion. Whether you're keen to explore the local waters around Selsey or venture to new dive sites, these club meets offer a fantastic opportunity to practice your skills, share experiences, and connect with a vibrant community of like-minded enthusiasts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The focus is on enjoyment, skill refinement, and camaraderie.
While specific dive site details for each meet may vary, the club's location in the Selsey area provides access to diverse underwater environments. The UK's coastal waters, though cooler than tropical destinations, offer unique marine life and geological features. For instance, sea temperatures in the region average around 12.9°C annually, with summer months like August reaching approximately 18.2°C, making it suitable for diving with appropriate thermal protection. These meets encourage participants to explore these local treasures responsibly and safely.
Mulberry Divers is a certified SSI (Scuba Schools International) facility, ensuring that their operations and the community they foster adhere to high standards of training and safety. The club meets are a testament to their commitment to providing ongoing opportunities for divers beyond initial certification. While specific details on instructor-to-student ratios for these informal meets are not provided, the emphasis on a social gathering suggests a supportive environment where participants can freely practice and receive peer encouragement. The club operates in English, catering to a broad local and international diving community.
Participation in the **Snorkel and Freediving Club Meets** requires participants to be certified snorkellers or freedivers. This ensures a baseline level of competency and safety awareness among all attendees. While specific equipment requirements will depend on the chosen activity and conditions on the day, participants are expected to bring their own snorkelling or freediving gear. These meets are an excellent platform for certified divers to maintain their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the underwater world in good company, fostering a continuous connection with the diving community.
