The baptism at Sevran Plongée is done in the pool under direct supervision from one of the club's certified instructors. Sessions take place on Fridays from 20:00, in water where the club has 40 complete scuba sets ready to go — no personal kit required. The minimum age is 14, with parents required to attend for minors.
This is a controlled, pool-based introduction rather than an open-water baptism. The club instructor manages the whole session, so the focus is entirely on the experience of breathing underwater and getting comfortable with the equipment. No prior experience of any kind is needed.
Trial sessions are available throughout the season from September to June, strictly by appointment. Contact the club by phone or email to arrange a slot before turning up.
For those who want to continue after the baptism, the path into Niveau 1 formation is clearly laid out within the club's own programme.
