The nitrox course at Sevran Plongée covers diving with enriched air — higher oxygen content, reduced nitrogen — as a practical extension for divers already certified at Niveau 1 or above. The FFESSM nitrox qualification is what most French clubs and liveaboards recognise for nitrox fills.
At this club, nitrox training fits into the existing session schedule. Theory is covered in the club's classroom or remotely, and practical application happens within the normal pool and outdoor dive programme. No separate trip is required to complete the course.
The qualification matters if you're heading to Safaga or any sea destination where nitrox availability on the boat is standard. The club runs an annual trip to the Red Sea where having the nitrox card already sorted makes a difference.
If you're already doing your Niveau 2 or 3 at Sevran Plongée, this specialty can be layered in during the same season without adding significant extra sessions.
