Advanced Open Water Diver

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at MacroDive is your next step to exploring more of the underwater world, building upon your Open Water Diver certification. This program is designed to increase your confidence and expand your diving capabilities through practical experience. You will complete five specialty dives, each focusing on different aspects of diving, such as deep diving, wreck exploration, night diving, and improved buoyancy control. The course typically takes 2 to 3 days to complete, with theory modules often available through PADI e-learning for your convenience. Upon successful completion, you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters, with the possibility of extending this limit to 40 meters if you also complete the Deep Diver specialty.

The waters around the center offer a diverse diving environment. While specific monthly temperatures are provided, the average sea temperature is around 19.1°C, making it suitable for diving throughout much of the year. The course emphasizes hands-on learning, allowing you to refine your existing skills and acquire new ones under the direct supervision of experienced instructors. This practical approach ensures you gain the necessary experience and confidence to handle various diving situations and explore a wider range of dive sites.

To enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. A medical certificate, no older than two years, confirming your fitness for diving is mandatory. Diving insurance is also required and can be arranged through the center if needed. You will need to provide a copy of your ID (DNI/NIE). The course is conducted by PADI-certified instructors, ensuring you receive high-quality training aligned with international standards.
