Descrição do Curso
Cyprea Plongée offers a specialized 'Cycle enfants 8-11 ans' (Children's Cycle 8-11 years) designed for young divers. This program provides a progressive introduction to scuba diving, focusing on skill development and underwater exploration using autonomous breathing apparatus. Throughout the cycle, children have the opportunity to earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold badges, along with specific qualifications, recognizing their progress and achievements. The course structure includes an initial discovery dive, followed by pool sessions to build fundamental skills, culminating in a sea confirmation day.
The cycle typically begins after the Easter holidays, with an initial discovery dive at the Jean Pommier swimming pool in Valence. Subsequent pool sessions are dedicated to mastering essential diving techniques in a controlled environment. The program culminates with a dedicated sea confirmation day, usually held in late June, offering a real-world diving experience in the Mediterranean. The club's boat transports participants to dive sites such as the Bay of La Ciotat and around the Île Verte, allowing them to explore the diverse marine fauna and flora.
Safety and enjoyment are prioritized, with an experienced team of instructors specially trained in child diving leading all sessions. They guide young divers from the pool to the open sea, ensuring a secure and fascinating exploration. The club is certified by FFESSM and PADI, indicating adherence to recognized diving standards. The program includes club membership, FFESSM license with basic 'Loisir 1' insurance, the initial discovery dive, all training and supervision, two sea dives, equipment rental, a passport and logbook, and diplomas upon completion.
Participants must be at least 8 years old by the first pool session and provide a medical certificate (CACI type) from a general practitioner. Essential items to bring include a swim cap, swimsuit, and towel. While a mask, snorkel, and booties are recommended, they are not mandatory before the first session. Enrollment for this cycle typically takes place in April, with the course commencing in May. Commitment to attending both Monday pool sessions and the sea outing is required for successful completion.
