The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) at Dive Division is meticulously crafted to transition experienced divers into highly competent PADI Instructors. This intensive professional-level program, guided by a Gold Course Director, prioritizes the development of your teaching acumen. You will learn to effectively guide new divers into the underwater world, fostering a passion that can change lives. The curriculum emphasizes practical application through real-life teaching scenarios, ensuring you are well-prepared for the responsibilities of an instructor.

The revised PADI IDC structure places a significant emphasis on hands-on teaching practice. Following the completion of digital e-learning modules, the course dedicates substantial time to practical workshops. These sessions cover knowledge development presentations, confined water teaching demonstrations, and open water teaching scenarios. You will refine your skill demonstrations, master risk management strategies, reinforce dive theory knowledge, and gain proficiency in PADI Standards and Procedures.

Upon successful completion of the IDC, you will be ready to undertake the PADI Instructor Examination (IE). This rigorous two-day assessment, administered by PADI staff, evaluates your readiness to teach. Passing the IE awards you the esteemed PADI Instructor rating.
