Schnuppertauchen

The taster session at Active Diving Würzburg takes place in a pool — indoors or outdoors depending on the season — on Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 12:00. You book a slot by appointment, so there's no fixed group date to fit around.

The session starts with a briefing on the equipment and the basic breathing and safety procedures you'll use in the water. From there you get in the pool under direct supervision of one of the school's instructors. No prior experience is needed.

The minimum age is 10 years. All required forms — health declaration, registration — are sent to you by email after you get in touch. The school provides all equipment; you bring yourself.

At €39, the taster fee is fully credited toward an Open Water Diver course if you decide to continue. The school also issues the session as a gift voucher, which makes it a straightforward present for someone curious about diving.
