Niveau 2 (PA20 + PE40)

Eight dives from 20 to 60 metres, plus the RIFAP first-aid module for divers — that's what's included in the Niveau 3 at Randomarine. The combined package means you finish the course with both the N3 autonomous certification and a recognised dive rescue qualification. No separate first-aid course to organise elsewhere.

Entry requires Niveau 2, a minimum of 40 logged dives (at least 10 in the 40-metre range), a personal dive computer and familiarity with its use, and a sports medicine or fédéral doctor's medical certificate. Minimum age 18. The sites off Hyères and the Îles d'Or include water deep enough to cover the full depth range of the course, which runs progressively from the shallower sections up to 60 metres.

Ludo holds the DEJEPS E4 qualification — the instructor grade required to supervise dives at this depth. The 690€ covers all eight dives, full equipment, insurance and ANMP certification. FFESSM licence option available at 50€ extra.

For divers already operating at N2 level looking to push toward deeper autonomous diving, the course here works within the same small-group framework. The RIFAP component is particularly useful for anyone who plans to dive regularly with a buddy in deep water — it's the rescue skills module that makes you genuinely useful in an emergency.
