Scuba Diver

The PADI Scuba Diver course at YBD Dive Centre offers a streamlined path to certification, ideal for those with limited time who still wish to explore the underwater world. This program provides essential diving knowledge and practical skills, allowing participants to experience the thrill of scuba diving under professional supervision. It's designed to be an accessible entry point, unlocking the wonders of the marine environment and offering a new dimension of adventure.

Over three days and two nights, you will learn fundamental diving techniques, including proper hand signal communication, essential safety protocols, and the proficient use of basic scuba equipment. This includes mastering the mask, snorkel, regulator, fins, BCD, dive computer, and surface marker buoy. The course covers safe water entry with full gear, underwater navigation, and secure surfacing procedures. Confined water training occurs in YBD Dive Centre’s dedicated pool, with open water dives conducted at the renowned Perhentian Island dive sites, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters.

This certification is suitable for individuals aged 10 and above who possess adequate swimming abilities and are in good physical health. It serves as an excellent stepping stone for those curious about diving but perhaps hesitant about committing to the full Open Water Diver course. The PADI Scuba Diver certification provides a solid foundation for future underwater exploration and permits diving under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

The course fee includes comprehensive equipment rental, encompassing the BCD, regulator, tank, mask, weights and weight belt, fins, dive computer, surface marker buoy and reel, and wetsuit. Participants also receive PADI eLearning materials and engage in a Coral Propagation Workshop, fostering an eco-conscious approach to diving. Professional instruction fees are also covered, ensuring a high standard of training. Upon successful completion, you will be certified as a PADI Scuba Diver, ready to explore the vibrant underwater ecosystems of the Perhentian Islands.
