PADI Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver certification is your passport to exploring the underwater world, and Endheri Dive Center in the Maldives offers an exceptional environment to achieve it. This foundational course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to dive independently to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). You will engage with core diving theory, master crucial skills in confined water, and apply everything in four open water dives conducted within the stunning South Ari Atoll.

Your learning journey begins with theoretical knowledge development, covering vital topics such as dive planning, buoyancy control, and understanding marine ecosystems. This phase is typically facilitated through PADI e-learning, allowing for flexible study. Following the theory, you'll transition to confined water sessions, often held in a calm, shallow lagoon, where your PADI instructor will guide you through practicing fundamental scuba skills like mask clearing, regulator recovery, and emergency ascents. These practical exercises build confidence and competence.

The open water dives are the pinnacle of the course, where you'll put your training into practice in real diving conditions. Endheri Dive Center utilizes various dive sites within the South Ari Atoll, an area renowned for its abundant marine life and potential encounters with whale sharks and manta rays. Upon successful completion, you will earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification card, recognized globally.
