Aqualis Diving Center Hvar is strategically located in Mala Garska Bay, on the island of Hvar, Croatia, with direct beach and boat access. Founded and run by Robert and Zsanett — he with commercial diving and instruction experience, she a doctor specializing in hyperbaric medicine — the center combines a professional approach with a welcoming and accessible attitude for divers of all levels.
The center has its own fleet consisting of an 8-meter motorboat (capacity 12 divers with gear) and a 5.7-meter RIB (capacity 6 divers), both equipped with roofs, fridges and onboard toilets. It has 70 steel tanks, MARES rental equipment and two compressors, as well as emergency oxygen and first aid kits on all vessels.
Aqualis offers over 15 dive sites in the Pakleni archipelago, reachable in 10 to 20 minutes from the shore. Among the most notable dives are the Paulina wreck — a 150-year-old English merchant vessel at 30 meters — the 70-meter wall at Vela Garska, the chimney system of Poseidon Pillar and the Vela Garska cave at just 5 meters depth. The dive site selection is made daily based on weather conditions and the certification levels of the group.
The activity programme includes PADI Discover Scuba Diving try dives, PADI and SSI certification courses, morning two-tank dives, afternoon boat dives and snorkeling excursions with SEABOB and SEABIKE options. The center stands out especially for its handicapped diving programme and wheelchair-accessible boat entry with no stairs, making it easy for divers with reduced mobility to participate. The minimum age for diving is 10 years.
