Buceo España La Herradura is an SSI Diamond certified dive center located in one of the most privileged areas of Granada's Costa Tropical. The center operates from Avenida Prieto Moreno, offering direct access to the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters and the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Park, an area protected since 1980 that harbors unique coral species and marine fauna classified as endangered.
The center features complete infrastructure to serve both beginner and experienced divers. They offer air filling services, equipment rental and sales, dive computers, and underwater scooters. Their zodiac boats provide access to over 16 different dive sites, including iconic locations such as Punta de la Mona, La Caleta, Cerro Gordo, and Cantarriján, each with unique characteristics in terms of depth and marine life.
The diving area stands out for its rich Mediterranean biodiversity. During dives, it is possible to spot orange corals, gorgonians, large groupers, lobsters, moray eels, octopuses, conger eels, sea turtles, and occasionally dolphins and seahorses. Visibility in these waters ranges from 10 to 30 meters depending on weather conditions, generally being excellent thanks to the natural protection of the bay.
Buceo España offers a comprehensive SSI training catalog including recreational diving courses, snorkel programs, emergency training, ecological training, and extended range dives. The center operates daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and accepts credit and debit card payments. Their team of professional instructors ensures a safe and enriching experience, adapting to both discover scuba diving experiences and advanced technical dives.
