Utila's reefs are part of the Mesoamerican System, offering the same quality as Roatán but with a more relaxed, backpacker atmosphere. Whale sharks visit seasonally.
Fauna includes reef sharks, turtles, rays, dolphins, and the possibility of seeing whale sharks from March to April and August to October. Reefs are exceptional.
