Esp Stress & Rescue + React Right

The SSI Stress and Rescue plus React Right combination at Merak Diving costs 420€ and is the most safety-focused course in the centre's specialty catalogue. It trains divers to recognise and manage stress in themselves and other divers, and to respond effectively to diving emergencies.

The React Right component covers emergency oxygen administration and basic first aid specific to diving accidents — a practical addition given that Merak Diving is a DAN Partner and the nearest hyperbaric facilities in Menorca are a drive away. The Stress and Rescue course involves both in-water rescue scenarios and surface management techniques.

This combination is a prerequisite or co-requisite for Divemaster training in most SSI pathways, so it sits at the boundary between recreational and professional development in the curriculum. The centre's ITC status means the instructors running this course are accreditated to the highest SSI teaching level.
