Descrizione del Corso
Embark on your underwater adventure with the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program at Calamargigante. This introductory experience is designed for those curious about breathing underwater without the commitment of a full certification. Under the direct supervision of a professional instructor, you'll learn basic safety guidelines and essential skills. The program offers a quick and easy way to explore the marine environment, making it an excellent stepping stone if you decide to pursue further diving education. The cost of your DSD experience can be credited towards the Open Water Diver course, making it a risk-free introduction to the underwater realm.
While not a formal certification, the DSD experience at Calamargigante provides a genuine taste of scuba diving. You will become familiar with the diving equipment, learn how to move underwater with it, and experience the unique sensation of breathing beneath the surface for the first time. Depending on your comfort level, this experience can take place in a pool, from the beach, or from a dive boat. If conducted in open water, you'll practice a few additional skills in shallow water to prepare you for the main dive, ensuring a safe and enjoyable exploration.
The climate data for the region indicates a sea temperature that can reach up to 20.6°C, with monthly air temperatures varying from a mild 13.4°C in January to a warm 27.4°C in August. This makes the diving conditions generally pleasant throughout much of the year, although specific months like October show higher rainfall. Calamargigante provides all the basic scuba equipment needed for your DSD, including mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regulator, tank, and dive instruments. You only need to bring your towel, as changing facilities and hot showers are available post-dive.
Calamargigante supports divers in multiple languages, including German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and Russian, ensuring clear communication and a comfortable learning environment for a diverse range of participants. This commitment to accessibility means you can focus on enjoying your first underwater experience. The center also provides a Participant Guide to help you pre-study safety rules and techniques, further enhancing your preparation and understanding before you even enter the water.
