CTdiver is a five-star PADI dive center located in Pingtung, Taiwan. If you haven't tried snorkeling or a discovery dive, and are unsure about being comfortable in the sea, you can start with our Discover Scuba Diving activity. If you wish to get certified and explore oceans worldwide, you can begin with the Open Water Diver course.
You can use the contact form on the website, email, Facebook page, or Line to confirm available times and group sizes. After confirmation, please complete the registration form and pay the deposit within two days. A link to the registration form is provided in the booking section.
Healthy individuals aged 12 and above can participate. You must complete a medical statement. If the statement indicates any condition that could be problematic for diving, a medical diagnosis is required to confirm your fitness to dive. The medical statement can be found in the file download section.
Yes, soft contact lenses are acceptable. Alternatively, the dive center offers prescription masks with powers up to -7.00 diopters.
You need basic swimming skills and to be comfortable in the water. If you haven't swum in a long time, it's recommended to spend some time in a pool beforehand to acclimatize. Before completing the course, you must be able to swim 200 meters continuously without time or style limits, or swim 300 meters with a mask, fins, and snorkel. You also need to demonstrate the ability to float for 10 minutes (we will assist you with this).
For a Discover Scuba Diving or your first dive course, you only need to bring your swimsuit. The dive center provides shower facilities and toiletries.
Course durations vary. A Discover Scuba Diving activity takes approximately 3-4 hours. The Open Water Diver certification course requires at least four days. PADI courses are performance-based, meaning you receive your certification upon meeting skill and knowledge standards, so the duration can vary per individual. The PADI Open Water Diver course includes knowledge development, confined water, and open water dives, with total hours ranging from four days until skills and theory are successfully completed.
After completing the course, the dive center will apply for your certification online. You will receive an email from PADI with a temporary certification. You can sign up using your email and password, then download the PADI app on your smartphone (Apple/Android) and log in with the same credentials to access your e-card. This e-card can be used offline when presenting your certification for future dives.
