The SSI Dive Guide course at Buddycheck is the first step on the professional track — the entry point for anyone who wants to lead certified divers in the water and eventually move into instructor training. At 349 EUR, it's the school's primary professional-level offering alongside the longer-term Dive Professional pathway.

Dive Guide training covers dive planning, group management, and the skills required to safely guide certified divers at local sites. At Buddycheck, that practical experience comes at the Sorpesee and Möhnesee, where the school runs its regular guided dives and training sessions. Knowing those lakes well is part of what the course builds toward.

The SSI system links dive guide qualification to logged experience: a combination of specialty courses and a minimum number of logged dives is required to progress. Buddycheck is explicit that this is what distinguishes SSI-trained professionals — certification tied to actual dive experience, not theory alone.
