Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver course at Le Brusc Plongée runs over 6 dives — 6 sessions in a protected environment and 4 in open water on the Embiez Archipelago sites — and delivers an internationally recognized certification valid to 18 m worldwide. The SSI kit (digital materials and certification) costs an additional €120. E-learning is available as part of the programme.

From age 10 anyone can start. The SSI approach the center describes as making diving safe and fun for the whole family, and the Embiez Natura 2000 sites provide the open-water component: Mediterranean fauna at manageable depths, boat access from the center's dock 50 meters away.

The international validity of the SSI Open Water card distinguishes this path from the FFESSM options for divers planning to travel. Once certified, graduates can dive autonomously to 18 m with a buddy of equivalent certification anywhere SSI is recognized.
