Active-Diving Würzburg

The minimum age is 10 years for both the Discover Scuba taster session and full beginner courses. Minors require a signed consent form from a parent or guardian before participating.

You fill in a health declaration form. If all answers are no, no doctor's certificate is required. If you answer yes to any question — or if you're under 18 or have a pre-existing condition — a dive medical is needed. The school recommends Dr. Frederic Kluge in Bergtheim (Tel. 09367-3990) for the examination.

Active Diving offers a money-back guarantee on all courses. If you drop out partway through, you receive a pro-rata refund of the unused portion. If you don't start at all, you get a full refund. No cancellation fees apply.

Yes — the complete rental kit is included in all course fees. Outside of courses, individual items are available to rent separately: a full kit costs €25 per day, €39 per weekend, or €99 for a week.

The school certifies through both i.a.c. and SSI. Both organisations are internationally recognised, and your certification will be accepted at dive centres worldwide.

Yes. Two instructors on the team — Thorsten and Christina — hold Handicap Instructor qualifications, making Active Diving one of the few schools in the area equipped to teach adapted diving.

Training runs all year. Pool sessions take place in outdoor pools from May to September and in indoor pools from October to April. There are no seasonal gaps in the schedule.

The school runs regular day trips and weekends to lakes across Germany, Austria and Switzerland — sites like the Sundhäuser See, Deglersee, and Fernsteinsee feature regularly. Indoor dive sessions at Dive4Life Siegburg appear on the calendar in winter. In 2025 the school also ran a week-long trip to Zakynthos, Greece.
