Опис курсу
The Drysuit specialty course is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge for diving comfortably and safely in colder water conditions. This specialized training focuses on the unique aspects of using a drysuit, an impermeable garment that keeps you warm and dry, thereby significantly extending your diving season and comfort range. You will learn the specific techniques for managing buoyancy, mastering the donning and doffing procedures, and understanding emergency protocols pertinent to drysuit diving.
The curriculum emphasizes controlling the air within the suit, utilizing integrated purge valves and inflation systems. This precise air management is fundamental for maintaining neutral buoyancy and effective thermal regulation, ensuring your dives are both enjoyable and secure. Proper handling of the drysuit is paramount for maximizing safety and comfort when exploring dive sites in cooler water temperatures.
This specialty certification is accessible to divers aged 14 years (FFESSM) or 12 years (PADI), provided they hold at least a Niveau 1 or Open Water Diver certification. While the course provides comprehensive instruction on drysuit operation, the drysuit itself is not included in the training fee and must be rented or supplied by the student. Mastering this skill opens up opportunities to explore a wider array of dive sites throughout the year, regardless of ambient water temperature, making it an invaluable addition to any diver's skillset, particularly for those in cooler climates or wishing to expand their diving calendar.
This course is offered by a center with a strong reputation, holding a Google rating of 4.8 stars. The training is conducted under the auspices of internationally recognized agencies including FFESSM, PADI, and SSI, allowing divers to gain certifications recognized globally. The center operates in a region where sea temperatures can vary, with averages ranging from 8.8°C in December to a high of 17.1°C, underscoring the utility of drysuit diving for year-round exploration. The climate data indicates that while air temperatures can be mild, reaching up to 26.8°C in August, they drop to 9.8°C in January, with rainfall varying significantly throughout the year, from a low of 10.7 mm in December to a high of 165.1 mm in March. This variability further highlights the advantage of drysuit diving for consistent comfort.
