Junior Discover Scuba Diving

A five-day certification course for participants between 10 and 15 years old, running the same PADI curriculum as the adult Open Water Diver but with lower depth limits and smaller instructor-to-student ratios. Equipment and e-learning are included at €449.

At Kappi-Divers the certification comes with PADI's standard age-based restrictions: 10–11 year olds must dive with a PADI professional or certified parent to a maximum of 12 metres; 12–14 year olds can dive to 18 metres with a certified adult. At 15, the Junior OWD automatically converts to a standard Open Water Diver with no additional testing required.

The school has a dedicated kids and youth diving programme and markets family diving explicitly, so younger students aren't an afterthought here. The Bubblemaker and Junior DSD sessions feed directly into this course for children who've already had water contact at the school.

No additional costs are listed beyond the course fee — unlike the adult OWD, dive base fees are not listed as extra here.
