Rescue Diver

A five to eight-day course focused on problem recognition and management underwater. The programme covers preventing emergencies, self-rescue, recognising and responding to stress in other divers, and handling unconscious divers at the surface.

E-learning and certification are included at €369. Equipment is provided; dive base fees and air costs at the open water site are additional. Minimum age is 12 years.

At Kappi-Divers, the Rescue Diver is also offered in combination with the Emergency First Response course at €445 for the bundle — the EFR covers CPR and first aid skills that are both a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver and independently useful outside diving.

The Rescue Diver certification is also a prerequisite for the Divemaster course, so for anyone on the professional path this is the last recreational-level step before going pro.
