Kursbeschreibung
The Nitrox Diver specialty course at ASD Club Sub Amici del Mare provides divers with the essential knowledge and skills to safely utilize enriched air nitrox. This specialized training focuses on the advantages of breathing air with a higher oxygen percentage, enabling longer bottom times and reduced surface intervals, particularly beneficial for repetitive dives. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of nitrox composition, gas laws relevant to its use, and the critical procedures for planning and executing nitrox dives. The curriculum emphasizes calculating oxygen exposure limits and correctly configuring dive computers for nitrox mixtures.
This course is designed to enhance your underwater exploration capabilities. By mastering the analysis of nitrox cylinders to confirm oxygen content and learning the specific protocols for enriched air equipment, you can significantly extend your time exploring the marine environment. The theory covers oxygen toxicity and equivalent air depth calculations, ensuring a comprehensive grasp of the principles behind safer, longer dives. Club Sub Amici del Mare offers this specialty to empower its members with advanced diving techniques.
Participants will learn to identify the benefits of higher oxygen mixes, such as reduced nitrogen loading, which translates to less physiological stress during dives. This allows for more opportunities to observe the rich marine life typical of the diving areas accessible from the center. The practical application of these skills means divers can enjoy more time at depth, making the most of each dive session and exploring dive sites more thoroughly. Safety remains paramount, with a focus on protocols that ensure the advantages of nitrox are realized without compromising diver well-being.
ASD Club Sub Amici del Mare, a CMAS-certified center, ensures that this specialty is taught to the highest standards. While specific dive site details are not provided, the course prepares divers for a wide range of recreational diving scenarios where extended bottom time is desirable. The center's commitment to diver education is reflected in this popular specialty, making it a logical next step for many certified recreational divers looking to optimize their diving efficiency and overall enjoyment.
