Embark on your underwater adventure with Narwhal's 'Batismo' (Discover Scuba Diving) experience, designed for absolute beginners. This introductory program, certified by PADI, allows you to explore the marine world without prior experience. You will be guided by a certified PADI instructor throughout the entire dive, ensuring a safe and comfortable introduction to scuba diving. The 'Batismo' experience includes essential safety briefings and equipment familiarization before you enter the water.

The dive itself typically lasts between 30 to 40 minutes, offering ample time to appreciate the underwater environment. Narwhal provides all necessary equipment, including BCD, wetsuit, regulator, mask, snorkel, and fins. The 'Batismo' dives are conducted at renowned sites like Ilha das Cabras or Praia do Portinho in Ilhabela. These locations are known for their rich biodiversity, often featuring fish, turtles, and rays. The typical depth for this introductory dive is between 6 to 8 meters, with visibility ranging from 2 to 10 meters depending on the season, making it an accessible and engaging environment for newcomers.

Narwhal offers flexible departure options for the 'Batismo' experience. On weekdays (Monday to Friday), exclusive speedboat trips are available for individuals, couples, or small groups, with a total excursion time of approximately three hours. During weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), the larger boat 'Enphase' is used for departures between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, providing a longer, approximately five-hour experience that includes time for snorkeling and relaxation after the main dive. The center operates in Portuguese.

Participants must be at least 10 years old, and those under 18 require accompaniment by a parent or legal guardian. Certain medical conditions, such as heart or respiratory issues, perforated eardrums, or pregnancy, preclude participation for safety reasons. Narwhal also emphasizes environmental responsibility, encouraging participants to bring reusable cups. Optional underwater photo and video packages are available to capture your first diving memories, allowing you to preserve this exciting experience.
