Kursbeschreibung

The PADI Tec 60 CCR course at Palau Infinity Dive is designed for experienced technical divers aiming to expand their exploration capabilities using a Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR). This intermediate-level program trains you to conduct Trimix decompression dives to a maximum depth of 60 meters. You will develop advanced skills for operating CCR systems safely and efficiently during long-duration, multi-stage decompression dives in complex environments, building upon your PADI Tec 40 CCR certification. The course requires a solid understanding of Enriched Air (EANx) and Trimix theory, along with a certification equivalent to PADI Advanced Nitrox or higher. A minimum of 50 logged dives, including at least 10 CCR dives, is mandatory, alongside being a healthy adult aged 18 or older.

This intensive 5 to 6-day program at Palau Infinity Dive includes comprehensive theory sessions, hands-on equipment configuration workshops, confined-water training, and a minimum of six open-water CCR dives. The curriculum focuses on CCR Trimix setup, meticulous decompression planning, and realistic problem-management scenarios. You will learn to safely execute Trimix CCR dives to 60 meters, mastering multi-stage decompression profiles. Key skills include proficiency in both manual and automatic oxygen control systems, including backup procedures, and the safe calculation and analysis of helium-based gas mixtures. Advanced gas management techniques and responding to electronic system failures are also emphasized, ensuring operational stability in demanding conditions.

Palau Infinity Dive offers this advanced technical certification through PADI, a globally recognized leader in diver training. While specific dive site details for the Tec 60 CCR practices are tailored to current conditions, Palau's renowned underwater topography provides an exceptional training ground for deep and complex dives. The center's commitment to technical diving education ensures a high standard of instruction. Participants will gain the confidence and competence to explore deeper wrecks and reefs, pushing the boundaries of their technical diving adventures.

Required equipment for the PADI Tec 60 CCR course includes an approved CCR unit, such as the JJ-CCR, a Trimix analyzer, a CCR-compatible dive computer, a surface marker buoy (SMB), and an underwater slate. Essential backup equipment, including regulators, a mask, and a timer, is also mandatory. Participants must provide their logbook, medical clearance, and Tec 40 CCR certification. While some equipment may be available for rent, certain CCR-specific items must be personally owned. Upon successful completion, graduates are qualified to conduct advanced decompression dives to 60 meters using CCR and Trimix, opening up new possibilities for deep exploration.
