Advanced Open Water

The St. George's Scuba Advanced Plus Open Water course is designed to expand your diving capabilities by integrating five distinct SSI Specialty programs into open water dives. This approach allows you to explore various diving interests, such as wreck diving or underwater photography, directly in real-world conditions. The program typically involves five dives, building upon your Open Water certification to enhance skills and confidence. St. George's Scuba offers this advanced training with SSI, a globally recognized certification agency, ensuring your new skills are widely acknowledged. You will gain practical experience in different diving environments, preparing you for more complex underwater adventures.

This course provides a fantastic opportunity to experience diving in a region with variable water temperatures. While summer months like July and August offer pleasant water temperatures around 25.3°C, the colder months, particularly January and February, see air temperatures dropping to -3.7°C and -0.7°C respectively, with corresponding cooler water conditions that may necessitate appropriate thermal protection. The visibility can also vary, influenced by seasonal weather patterns and local conditions. St. George's Scuba's location allows for diverse training scenarios, adapting to the prevailing environmental factors to ensure a safe and educational experience. The center also supports multiple languages, including German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and Russian, catering to a diverse international clientele.
