Plongee Phocéenne offers the Sunset FreeDiving – Autonome et certifié course, designed for certified and autonomous freedivers seeking to practice in the serene late afternoon. This advanced level course focuses on a supervised, safe, and peaceful environment, allowing participants to hone their skills as the sea calms and the light transforms the underwater world. Guided by a qualified instructor, these sessions leverage ideal conditions when nautical activity diminishes, providing a tranquil setting for exploration and vertical freediving on a cable. The emphasis is on a light, enjoyable practice that respects individual sensations, making it an ideal way to conclude the day.

The unique atmosphere created by the sunset light enhances relaxation and concentration, fostering a deeper connection with the marine environment. The course takes place from June to September, coinciding with the warmest sea temperatures, which average around 17°C but can be significantly warmer during these summer months, especially in the late afternoon. The sessions are supported by a boat equipped with a dedicated freediving pole, ensuring safety and comfort. Small groups, with a strict ratio of 1 instructor to 4 participants, guarantee personalized attention and serenity. Digital souvenir photos are included to commemorate the experience.

Participants must hold a certification as autonomous freedivers, with a recommended minimum level of AIDA 2 / Molchanovs Wave 1 or equivalent. Comfort with sea practice and adherence to safety rules are essential. The minimum age is 18, and a medical certificate along with a valid freediving license or insurance are mandatory. Plongee Phocéenne, located in Marseille, is a center that values safety and a convivial spirit, offering this course to help freedivers enjoy the sea in a peaceful and enjoyable manner.
