The SSI Open Water Swim Course at the Niklinder Center is your entry into the world of safe swimming and snorkeling in open water. In a single day, you will get to know the necessary equipment, develop orientation skills, and refine swimming and snorkeling techniques. The course emphasizes effective breathing techniques, stretching exercises for preparation, and understanding legal and safety-related aspects in natural environments. The goal is to build your mental strength and self-confidence in the water, so you feel safe and competent.

Water temperatures in the region vary significantly throughout the year, with highs around 20.1 °C in July and lows around 2.9 °C in January, highlighting the importance of choosing the right equipment and preparing for different conditions. The Niklinder Center, certified by SSI, offers you the foundation for future diving adventures. The course fee is EUR 250 and includes theoretical and practical training for entry-level open water swimming and snorkeling.
