SCUBA Pool Refresher

Reactivate your diving skills with the SCUBA Pool Refresher course at El Mar Diving Center. This session is specifically designed for certified divers who feel their skills have become a bit rusty or who haven't dived in a while. The course focuses on rebuilding your confidence and ensuring you are comfortable with fundamental diving techniques before your next open water adventure.

Under the guidance of two professional staff members, you will review and practice 21 essential scuba skills. This comprehensive review covers critical aspects of safe diving, ensuring you are up-to-date with current practices. It's also an ideal opportunity to test any new equipment you've acquired in a controlled environment. The entire session is conducted in El Mar's heated pool and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

This refresher is offered by El Mar Diving Center, which is certified by IDEA, PADI, and SSI, indicating a high standard of training. The course fee is set at $99.00 USD. Scheduled group sessions are available throughout the year, often taking place on Saturdays, making it convenient to fit into your schedule. The center provides tanks and weights for the pool training, simplifying your preparation.

To participate, you must be at least 15 years old and have a completed DiveSSI profile. Divers aged 45 and older will need to provide a completed or current medical statement, which may require a doctor's signature. Participants are encouraged to bring their own SCUBA gear, although masks, fins, snorkels, and boots are available for rent. A smartphone with the DiveSSI app is also a requirement for accessing course materials and completing necessary steps.
