Practical training begins with a full day dedicated to mastering essential scuba skills in a heated local pool. Under the close supervision of a PADI Instructor, you'll build confidence and comfort with your equipment in a controlled environment. Frog Dive provides convenient transport to and from these pool sessions, making your learning experience seamless. This phase is vital for developing the fundamental abilities needed before venturing into open water.

The course culminates with four exciting open water dives conducted over two days. These dives are typically held at renowned local sites such as Clifton Garden in Mosman and Shelly Beach in Manly, areas known for their rich marine biodiversity. During these dives, you will apply the skills learned in the pool while discovering the vibrant underwater ecosystems Sydney has to offer. Upon successful completion, Junior Open Water Divers are certified to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

As a certified Junior Open Water Diver, you must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or PADI Professional when diving. Once you reach the age of 15, you can easily upgrade to a full PADI Open Water Diver certification, allowing dives to 18 meters, by simply updating your certification card without needing to retake the course.
