What people ask before booking

Water temperature changes seasonally: Jan-Mar 16-20°C, Apr-May 18-22°C, Jun-Jul 22-25°C, Aug-Oct 25-28°C, Nov-Dec 20-25°C. A 3-5mm wetsuit is recommended, with hoods, gloves, and booties for cooler months. Summer may allow for no wetsuit for some.

Whale sharks are present around La Paz for much of the year, with regulations allowing visits from October 1st to April 30th. This period offers the greatest density and chances of seeing and snorkeling with them as they feed in the bay.

Pack light with soft bags. Essentials include swimsuits, t-shirts, shorts, a warm sweater for evenings, sunglasses, suncream, a hat, and flip-flops. Trainers are recommended for hiking. Bring electronics and chargers, but note there is no WiFi at sea. Personal medication is advised. Bring your C-Card, dive insurance, and a sense of adventure. Dive gear rental should be requested in advance.

La Paz is accessible via numerous domestic and international flights to its own airport (9km from the city center). Alternatively, flights to San Jose del Cabo (Cabo) are possible, with shuttle services available to La Paz (approx. 2.5 hours). El Duque Adventures can help organize shuttle transfers.

All divers require dive insurance (DAN recommended). Travel insurance covering medical, accident, trip cancellation, and interruption is also strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen circumstances and potential loss of deposit.

Yes, Norman and Cat are PADI Instructors offering courses like Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water Diver, and Advanced. Checkout dives can be incorporated into trips. A trial dive experience, including theory, skills, and a dive with an instructor, takes about half a day.

The food is homestyle, healthy, and hearty, with a variety of Mexican dishes and BBQ options. It's served buffet-style. Special diets can be catered to with advance notice.
