FCMAS - Federación Actividades Subacuáticas Castilla-La Mancha
The Federation of Underwater Activities of Castilla-La Mancha (FCMAS), founded on April 17, 1991, in Albacete, is a private non-profit public utility entity. Its main objective is the organization of competitions and the promotion of Underwater Activities, including diving courses of all levels and specialties. It also organizes promotional activities for exercise modalities recognized as being of public interest that relate to the underwater world. The FCMAS is integrated into the Spanish Federation of Underwater Activities (FEDAS) and therefore into the World Underwater Activities Confederation (CMAS), as well as with FFESSM. It is responsible for the governance, administration, management, organization, direction, and regulation of the various sport-recreational underwater activities in Castilla-La Mancha. The entity offers all legally recognized diving certifications, from diver to instructor level. The training offerings at FCMAS include Enriched Air Nitrox courses, the Instructor Development Course (IDC), Freediving, and Technical Diving. Its facilities include a bar, equipment rental, and air fills (nitrox, trimix). The federation also supports the practice of underwater photography and videography through regional championships, fostering these two increasingly popular hobbies.
