Course Description
The SDI Scuba Discovery eLearning Code from 20000 Leagues Scuba offers a foundational step into the underwater world. This program is designed for individuals eager to begin their scuba education from the comfort of their own home. The eLearning component covers essential theoretical knowledge, safety procedures, and basic skills required for scuba diving. Upon completion of the online modules, participants are prepared to transition to the practical, in-water portion of the course, which typically involves an introductory dive under direct supervision. This initial experience is crucial for building confidence and understanding the fundamental aspects of breathing and moving underwater. The certification obtained through this program is recognized by SDI, a reputable agency in the dive industry.
While this code focuses on the eLearning aspect, the practical sessions are conducted by 20000 Leagues Scuba, a center known for its commitment to diver education. The specific location for the in-water training will depend on local conditions and the dive sites accessible from their facility. As the center operates in an area with diverse marine environments, divers can anticipate encountering varied underwater topography and potentially a range of local marine life during their practical training. The center's multilingual staff, fluent in both English and Dutch, ensures clear communication and a comfortable learning experience for a broad range of students. This approach facilitates a smooth transition from theoretical learning to practical application in a safe and controlled environment.
