The Apnea Total Freediver Course at Freedive Boracay offers a comprehensive two-day certification designed to introduce you to the serene world of freediving. This program is meticulously crafted to build your confidence and comfort in the water, preparing you to safely explore depths of up to 20 meters. You will engage in a blend of classroom sessions, focusing on essential freediving theory, breathing techniques, and safety protocols, alongside practical open water training. The course structure includes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of theory and 2 hours of water time daily, ensuring a balanced learning experience. Instructors at Freedive Boracay maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio, typically a maximum of three students, which guarantees personalized attention and immediate feedback throughout your learning journey.

Day one of the Apnea Total Freediver Course lays the groundwork with foundational techniques. You'll become familiar with freediving equipment, learn essential diving methods such as Free Immersion (FIM) and Constant Weight (CWT), and practice crucial equalization and breathing exercises. These skills are then applied in the water, focusing on buoyancy control and making initial freedives to around 11 meters. This hands-on approach is vital for understanding and mastering the core techniques of freediving.

On day two, the curriculum shifts towards safety and rescue procedures, a critical component of responsible freediving. You will review the dives from the previous day, refine your breathing techniques, and gain a solid understanding of hypoxia and safety regulations. The open water session includes warm-up dives, practicing advanced breathing methods, surface relaxation techniques, and essential buddy teamwork and rescue drills. This culminates in dives reaching depths of up to 20 meters, solidifying your skills and preparedness. A key requirement for certification is the ability to perform a rescue from 6 meters, ensuring you are equipped to assist a fellow diver.

Upon successful completion of the Apnea Total Freediver Course, you will receive an official Apnea Total certification, along with online access to course materials for ongoing review and reference.
