Course Description

The PADI Master Freediver course offered by DiveDiveCompany in Calpe is designed for experienced freedivers seeking to push their boundaries and achieve a profound understanding of the discipline. This advanced program focuses on sophisticated techniques, including advanced equalization, meditation, and relaxation methods, alongside a deep dive into the physiological aspects of breath-hold diving. Upon successful completion, participants will be certified to safely dive with a buddy to depths between 27 and 40 meters in the Constant Weight (CWT) modality, signifying a mastery of self-control and technique.

Calpe's waters provide an exceptional training ground for this demanding course. The environment offers protected areas ideal for advanced freediving practices, allowing students to focus on refining their skills. While specific visibility data is not provided, the region is known for its clear waters, conducive to deep dives. The sea temperature averages around 20.8°C, making it suitable for training throughout much of the year, though specific monthly averages range from 13.5°C in January to 27.3°C in August.

This intensive three-day course includes comprehensive digital learning materials through PADI's online platform, covering theoretical aspects in detail. Practical training involves static apnea sessions aiming for a minimum of 3 minutes and 30 seconds, dynamic apnea swims of at least 70 meters, and three open water dives. These dives will focus on Constant Weight (CWT), Free Immersion (FIM), and No Fins (CNF) techniques, reaching depths between 20 and 35 meters. All necessary freediving equipment and mandatory insurance are provided by the center.

To enroll in the PADI Master Freediver course, candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a PADI Advanced Freediver certification or an equivalent qualification. A recent first aid certification, such as EFR, completed within the last two years, is also a mandatory prerequisite. Participants will also need to complete a medical declaration form. The course is conducted by DiveDiveCompany, a PADI-certified center, ensuring adherence to the highest international standards of freediving education.
