Course Description
Elevate your diving capabilities with the PADI Rescue Diver + EFR course from Dive&Dive. This comprehensive program is designed to equip you with essential skills for accident prevention, management, and rescue, significantly enhancing your safety awareness and ability to assist fellow divers. The course integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing you for a wide variety of emergency situations. You will learn self-rescue techniques, how to assist tired or unresponsive divers, and manage surface rescues, all while building confidence in your diving abilities. The Emergency First Response (EFR) component is integrated into the training, providing vital CPR and first aid knowledge.
This certification is a crucial step for those wishing to continue their PADI professional journey, as it is a prerequisite for the Divemaster course and subsequent levels. The PADI Rescue Diver certification is internationally recognized and has a lifetime validity, underscoring its importance in a diver's training progression. The course requires a minimum of 10-20 hours of self-study with PADI digital materials, followed by two intensive days of practical training. Participants must be at least 12 years old; those under 15 will receive Junior Rescue Diver certification, which automatically upgrades upon turning 15.
The local diving conditions offer an average sea temperature of around 20.8°C, providing a comfortable environment for practical sessions. Although monthly temperatures vary, with averages from 13.5°C in January to 27.3°C in August, the overall climate allows for year-round diving. The course structure includes classroom sessions and open water exercises, simulating real emergencies to ensure thorough preparation. Dive&Dive provides all necessary equipment, along with expert instruction from qualified PADI professionals.
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver + EFR course, you must hold the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. A current EFR certification is also required, although it can be obtained concurrently with this course if needed. The course fee of €299 includes digital learning materials, equipment usage, and instruction. Dive&Dive also arranges accommodation for those traveling from afar, ensuring a comfortable and focused learning experience. This course is an investment in your safety and that of the entire diving community.
