The PE40 (Plongeur Encadré 40 mètres) certification at Diving Calvi offers certified Level 1 divers the opportunity to extend their depth limit to 40 meters under direct supervision. This technical level course is structured over three half-days, comprising three dives. It's an excellent pathway for divers aged 14 and above who wish to explore deeper sites without immediately committing to full autonomous Level 2 training. The curriculum is designed to build confidence and experience in deeper water environments, preparing divers for more advanced exploration.

One of the key practical components of this course involves a dedicated dive to the historical B-17 wreck, providing a unique opportunity for underwater historical discovery. The remaining two dives focus on exploring the marine environment between 20 and 40 meters, allowing participants to adapt to the physiological and environmental changes associated with increased depth. A rehabilitation dive may be included if deemed necessary by the instructors to ensure each student is adequately prepared for the 40-meter conditions.

This PE40 certification is a stepping stone, serving as a prerequisite for the PA20 course, which is the next step towards achieving the full Level 2 certification.
