Advanced Open Water

The SSI Advanced Adventurer course, offered by Scubakreta, is your next logical step after Open Water certification, designed to significantly broaden your diving capabilities. This program allows you to explore five different types of specialty diving, with your instructor guiding you through the planning and execution of each 'Adventure Dive'. You'll gain the confidence and skills to dive up to 30 meters, opening up a wider range of dive sites and experiences. The course emphasizes practical application, enhancing your buoyancy control and situational awareness for deeper and more complex dives.

During your Advanced Adventurer training with Scubakreta, you will experience a variety of underwater environments. While specific dive sites depend on local conditions and participant interests, typical adventure dives might include deep dives, wreck exploration, night diving, or advanced navigation. The water temperature in Crete averages around 20.1°C, with warmer months like June, July, and August offering sea temperatures ideal for comfortable diving without a thick wetsuit. This course provides a fantastic opportunity to sample different specialties and discover what aspects of diving excite you most.

Scubakreta, a certified SSI training center, ensures a high standard of education. All necessary diving equipment is provided for the course duration. The theoretical components are delivered through SSI's online learning materials, which complement the hands-on practical training.
