Basic Freediver

The SSI Basic Freediver course at this center provides a solid foundation for exploring the underwater world with just your breath. You will learn essential freediving techniques, safety procedures, and how to manage your body's response to breath-hold diving. The curriculum typically includes confined water sessions to master skills like equalization and proper finning, followed by open water dives to a maximum depth of 10 meters (33 feet), adhering to SSI standards for this level. These practical sessions are conducted in carefully selected dive sites known for their calm conditions and accessibility, ensuring a safe and progressive learning experience. The center is certified by SSI, guaranteeing that your training meets international recognized standards.

This location offers excellent conditions for freediving training throughout much of the year. The sea temperature averages a pleasant 25.7°C (78.3°F), making it comfortable to spend extended time in the water. While the data shows minimal rainfall from April to November, with air temperatures reaching up to 35.3°C (95.5°F) in June, the consistent sea temperature provides a stable environment for learning. The visibility is generally good, allowing instructors to effectively guide students and for students to observe their surroundings and progress. The underwater topography is suitable for developing freediving skills, with easy access from shore or boat.
