Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Gypsy Divers in Havelock Island is designed to build upon your Open Water certification, enhancing your skills and confidence for deeper and more varied dives. This program typically spans 2 to 3 days and includes five adventure dives, with Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation being mandatory. You will explore depths down to 30 meters, learning about the physiological effects of deeper dives and how to manage them safely. The navigation dive sharpens your compass skills and ability to use natural references for orientation.

Your practical training will take place at various dive sites around the Andaman Islands, offering diverse underwater topography and marine life encounters. The specific sites chosen will depend on your interests and local conditions, allowing for a personalized experience. The course curriculum allows you to select three additional adventure dives from a wide range of specialties. Options may include wreck diving, night diving, drift diving, or peak performance buoyancy, tailored to your specific interests and the opportunities available at the time.
