Course Description

The PADI Rescue Diver course at Nemo Tauchsport in Switzerland is designed to build upon your existing open water skills, transforming you into a more confident and capable diver. This advanced certification focuses on preventing dive-related problems and managing emergencies effectively, both on the surface and underwater. Through realistic scenarios, you will master various rescue techniques, learning to manage a complete rescue chain and significantly enhancing your safety and preparedness. This course ultimately allows for more stress-free and enjoyable dives with different buddies, instilling the confidence to handle potential issues that may arise.

The curriculum includes five theory modules and seven practical dives. These dives are specifically designed to simulate rescue situations, covering underwater and surface rescue exercises. To enroll, you must hold an advanced open water certification, possess a medical certificate not older than one year, and be at least 15 years old. While not strictly mandatory for course entry, having completed at least 30 dives, with five of those being open water dives, is highly recommended for optimal skill application. A valid first aid certification, such as EFR or equivalent, not older than two years, is a mandatory prerequisite.

Nemo Tauchsport offers this course under the PADI certification, a globally recognized standard for diver training. The program emphasizes proactive problem prevention and decisive emergency response. Participants will learn to identify potential issues before they escalate and to react calmly and efficiently when they do. This training is crucial for any diver looking to deepen their understanding of dive safety and take on more responsibility within a buddy team. The skills acquired are invaluable for ensuring the well-being of yourself and others in the underwater environment.
