Discover Scuba Diving

Sailfish Scuba offers the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, an ideal introduction for those curious about the underwater world but not yet certified. This one-day program begins with a thorough classroom session covering essential scuba safety, equipment familiarization, and crucial underwater communication signals. Following the briefing, you'll transition to a pool environment to practice fundamental diving skills under the direct supervision of your instructor, building confidence in a controlled setting. The program is designed for individuals aged 10 and above, requiring completion of a medical questionnaire.

Following pool skills, the adventure continues with a boat trip to two shallow reef sites. Here, you will experience your first open water dives, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet) as per PADI standards for this introductory experience. This allows for a safe yet immersive encounter with the vibrant marine life typically found in the local waters. This initial dive provides a captivating glimpse into the possibilities of scuba diving and can ignite a lasting passion for exploring the ocean's depths.

Sailfish Scuba caters to a diverse range of visitors, offering instruction in German, English, Spanish, and French. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary to participate in this program. All necessary scuba equipment is provided by the center, allowing you to focus entirely on learning and enjoying the experience. Participants should bring swimwear, a towel, and sunscreen. Completing the medical questionnaire prior to the course is a mandatory requirement to ensure your suitability for diving activities.
