Night diving is clearly a genuine interest at Scuba Nova, not just a course checkbox. Team member Martin Ponte describes encounters with pike at half a meter's distance in the dark — the kind of freshwater night dive that happens on local Dutch lakes and is very different from a tropical reef at night.

The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty teaches entry and exit in the dark, use of dive lights, and buddy communication without visual cues. It covers both true night diving and low-visibility conditions, which are common in Dutch inland waters regardless of time of day.
